Brickworld Saga Presents
Building the Ultimate Falcon

The Ultimate Falcon is the biggest LEGO set to date. It's nearly 5000 pieces, nearly a yard long when completed, and costs about 500 bucks. Only a true LEGO Master would buy this thing, and only a true LEGO Master could build it in less than, say, a month.

Day 3:
'Adding to the Skeleton'

To keep the cat out, I put up this sign. Yes, I know my handwriting looks like a 6-year-old's.

You're probably thinking "But cats can't read!" Well this guy is a sneaky little bastard... I wouldn't put it past him to have learned while I wasn't looking.

Anyway, this is where we left off. The bare skeleton of the ship is nearly completed.

The Pile looks like this. I wonder if the Corellian Shipyards looked anything like this...?

For some reason, finding four of these little fuckers took forever.

Time to start on part 2.

This one's a lot simpler than the framework thing.

That was rather fast...

On it goes. The Falcon is now dangerously unbalanced.

Time for part 3.

That was even faster than the last one.

Part 4 looks just like the last one...

Déjà vu, anyone?

On they go! Now the Falcon is balanced again.

Now we add some little detail-ey bits.

At last, we get to build the landing gear. Now the Falcon will be resting on something a little more stable.

Oh goodie, I have to build seven of these things. Let's call it a night.

The pile has spread signifigantly.
