Brickworld Saga Presents
Building the Ultimate Falcon
The Ultimate Falcon is the biggest LEGO set to date. It's nearly 5000 pieces, nearly a yard long when completed, and costs about 500 bucks. Only a true LEGO Master would buy this thing, and only a true LEGO Master could build it in less than, say, a month.
Day 0:
'Holy Shit That Box is Big'
This gigantic thing was lurking underneath the Christmas tree. It can contain only one thing...
The Ultimate Collectors Milennium Falcon. My foot can be seen for comparison. Now, my feet aren't huge, but I'm no dawrf either. This box is big enough to crush a small cat.
Side view, with my hand for comparison. This thing's a good six or seven inches thick.
(That's what she said)
My one complaint... why doesn't this come with C-3PO or R2-D2? Also, was Luke's hair really that long in the movie?
Unlike the average LEGO set, this thing was filled to the friggin' brim with pieces.
I didn't bother to count all of them, but I'd say there were somewhere between 20 and 40 seperate bags of pieces.
Being a limited edition collector's item, the Ultimate Falcon comes with a certificate of authenticity. It was in its own seperate envelope, I assume to keep the LEGOs from scratching the certificate itself.
I'm going to frame this. Sorry for the shakey camera.
If I understand this right, this set was designed by a "Jens Kronvold Frederiksen." Thanks, Jens!
The constructopedia for this set is the size of a medium-sized LEGO box. It's 314 pages long. Hand shown for comparison yet again.
Not going to start building just yet... so back in the box it goes.
